KUALA TERENGGANU: Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin has urged women to step forward and build a career in firefighting.
With 3,000 vacancies open for application, Zuraida hopes women would apply so that the target of 30% of women firefighters could be achieved. Zuraida said she understood the perception that a firefighting job is tough might have deterred women from applying.
These women firefighters might be prevented by their religion to aid male victims... It will be good if Minister zuraida_my gets the opinions of our very enlightened Muftis.
