KUALA LUMPUR: The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) will continue to empower youth in Malaysia and Southeast Asia through more youth diplomacy engagement.

US Ambassador to Malaysia Brian D McFeeters said as the YSEALI programmes had recorded success stories of its alumni and marked many positive impacts across the region, the platform would leverage the existing network to better connect the youth.

"We are immensely proud of our YSEALI Malaysian alumni who are fulfilling the promise of the programme to cultivate the next generation of leaders focused on their communities and their country. McFeeters told reporters this after the launching of YSEALI Malaysia Summit themed"The Rise of Youth Power in Malaysia and Southeast Asia" here on Saturday .
