You can now pin up to 3 messages for your WhatsApp chat

WhatsApp has improved its features to accommodate large group interactions, aiming to compete with platforms like Telegram and Discord. Recently, it increased the pin limit from one message to three for all users. That should address the issue of managing important messages in the middle of group conversations.

For your information, this feature was Introduced last year. Message pinning support on WhatsApp has seen further improvements including increased limits for pinning chats and texts. The beta test also allowed you to pin up to five group or individual chats on the Chats tab. Now, the pin limit for individual messages has been extended to three.

In addition, WhatsApp has shared a message with its users through the official channel accompanied by an explanatory video to introduce and promote the pinning feature. This feature allows you to reduce the effort of retyping important messages repeatedly, especially in group chats where important information may require frequent reference.

Additionally, group administrators have control over other users' permissions to pin messages to ensure efficient communication management. You should also look forward to future updates which could offer more flexibility in managing conversations.
