PETALING JAYA: Men’s doubles shuttler Ong Yew Sin believes that all pairs currently pose a tough challenge in top-level tournaments.

Yew Sin is now undergoing centralised Thomas Cup training camp with partner Teo Ee Yi as they gear up for the team meet in Bangkok.

“In the doubles now, I don’t think any pair is easy to play against. For example, a pair ranked below 20 or 30 can also win a title,” he explained. Yew Sin himself knows a thing or two about causing upsets after he and Ee Yi stunned Olympic champions Lee Yang-Wang Chi-lin of Taiwan in the quarter-finals of the World Championships last year.Yew Sin-Ee Yi will look to bring that form to the Thomas Cup.
