Yayasan Sabah Bumiputera (YSB) is financing the enrolment fees, flight tickets and accommodation of 30 higher learning students pursuing their degrees in Kuala Lumpur.

PENAMPANG: .YSB Chairman Senator Datuk John Ambrose said the beneficiaries are mostly from the district. “YBS was established to empower Bumiputeras in Sabah in many ways, including education. The initiative continues in collaboration with City University Malaysia.“The Covid-19 pandemic proved a challenge to families all over the country and many are still struggling to send their children to college. “We feel it is our responsibility to help.

Representing Special Tasks Minister Datuk Arifin Mohd Arif in officiating the programme was his Assistant Minister Fairuz Renddan.“We are thankful that the country has a stable government to ensure that Sabah’s young generation can further their studies, thus producing quality human capital,” he said.
