The standard and Pro variants of the Xiaomi 12S phones are almost indifferent from the original iterations at first glance – save for the new textured rear panel, which is inspired by the camera design by the company’s new partner, Leica. Also new are the camera maker’s branding on the duo’s rear camera array.
Under its hood is the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, paired together with an Adreno 730 GPU, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Powering the phone is a 4,500mAh battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging capabilities, and also 10W reverse wireless charging support. Besides that, it also comes with Android 12 out of the box via Xiaomi’s MIUI 13 platform, as well as NFC, Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi connectivity.
