Women in Kelantan are still buying gold to be worn during Hari Raya Aidilfitri, even though the price of gold has exceeded RM350 per gram. A survey by Utusan Malaysia at several shops in Pasar Siti Khadijah found that people are still flocking to gold shops for new purchases or replacements. Customers are choosing Italian, koko king, dubai, koko kendi, and rolex jewelry for this year's celebration. Some customers are also coming to exchange their old jewelry for new designs. Traders are selling jewelry according to the buyers' affordability. Since the return of gold business entrepreneurs, sales have increased significantly, providing them with more income.

KOTA BHARU: Golongan wanita di negeri ini tetap membeli emas untuk digayakan pada Hari Raya Aidilfitri meskipun harga emas kini melebihi RM350 segram.

Seorang peniaga Rozleen Yusof, 52, berkata, barang kemas jenis Itali, koko king, dubai dan koko kendi serta rolex antara yang menjadi pilihan wanita untuk raya tahun ini.“Ada yang datang ke kedai untuk menukarkan barang kemas lama mengikut berat dengan reka bentuk baharu,” katanya ketika ditemui di sini kelmarin.

Katanya, sejak kepulangan perantau perniagaan emas di premisnya bertambah rancak sekali gus memberikan rezeki yang lebih buatnya.
