SIMPANG RENGGAM: A woman was killed when the car driven by her was involved in an accident with a lorry near Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) Renggam here.

The Johor Fire and Rescue Department Operation Centre said it received an emergency call on the incident at 7.33pm on Tuesday .

Renggam Fire station chief Mohd Nizar Ma’mun said 10 firemen from the station and one Fire Rapid Tender vehicle were deployed to the scene. “The victim was trapped in the car and was declared dead by the paramedics from the Health Ministry,’’ he said in a statement. He said the 21-year-old victim has been identified as Tasnim Nazatul Mohd Nasrun while the 42-year lorry driver Mohd Suhaimi Samsudin escaped unhurt.
