Microsoft previously announced that version 22H2 of Windows 10 would be its last, and support for that version of the operating system would end come October 2025. There's also a subscription service for continued security updates beyond that point. But it looks like it may continue to get new features after all.
The company has announced the reopening of the Windows Insider Beta Channel to test 'new features and more improvements to Windows 10 as needed'. If any of these new features get past the beta stage, they will be added to the aforementioned 22H2 version of the OS. Of course, not everything that gets tested will be rolled out.On one hand, Windows 10 getting new features is not that outlandish an idea.
Despite all this, Microsoft still says that support for Windows 10 ends on 14 October 2025. This would be consistent if the new features being rolled out will do so before the aforementioned date, but a bit weird if new features are still being rolled out after October 2025. The announcement blog post did not mention such specifics, so it could still go either way.
