PETALING JAYA: The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic is seriously affecting public transport operators, and that government is giving out assistance, says Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

"The Transport Ministry understands that public transport operators are greatly affected and are facing tough times due to Covid-19.

"It is the responsibility of a caring and people-centric Federal Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, to help those operators with diesel subsidies so that operation costs can be reduced. This is to ensure that the public can continue to enjoy quality service," he said in a Facebook post Saturday .
