MFL, in a statement, noted that they’re always taking precautions to avoid haze-related incidents that could jeopardise the reputation of the country’s oldest football tournament. “MFL is also planning to get the Air Pollutant Index tools to enable API readings to be made directly at the venue,” its chief executive officer Kevin Ramalingam said in a statement today.
MFL said it was ready to postpone matches if the haze at the venue was found to be harmful to the health of the officials, players, stadium personnel and spectators.
