We're a multiracial country, Dr M says on failure to achieve developed nation status

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad says Malaysia’s racial diversity is partly to blame for its inability to achieve developed nation status like South Korea and China.“At this point, there are two Asian countries that have achieved developed nation status, namely South Korea and China. Why can’t Malaysia achieve the same?

He said he was also worried that the income gap between the rich and the poor according to race would continue to grow, leading to revolutionary movements like those that occur in European countries. “If the gap is too big, there will be feelings of jealousy and so on. Eventually, the people might act against the law.”

“The poor need to embrace the agendas to help them,” he said. “We cannot eliminate poverty by giving out money. This will not make them any richer.

When you been holding their hands long enough, and you expect them to grow? That’s funny.

What happened to the many billions pumped in? Probably they should find out how the Malay students from the sjkc fared in their career.

If the majority cannot beat the minority in achievement gap then like the saying goes, 'can't beat them, join them', the majority should join the minorities and do what they do so that they can reduce this so called 'gap'

So its ours, the non Malay Muslim Malaysians' fault for being more successful in everything despite the majority getting major help from the government and it's special privilege's. Wow these means the Malaysian non Muslims are really good. But don't blame us for others mistakes

Those other single race societies like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, etc are all doing so well and those other countries built on diversity and multiculturalism like the UK, USA, Australia, etc are not? Wtf PM? Stop using race as an excuse for bad leadership.
