PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali says ‘the 2020 Budget is the first step to realise the Shared Prosperity Vision’.

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali said he and PKR president Anwar Ibrahim had only discussed economic matters during their meeting at Parliament this afternoon. Speaking to reporters at the Parliament lobby, he said they discussed steps to overcome poverty and other economic issues faced by the country.

“We had a long discussion as we view the 2020 Budget as the first step to realise the Shared Prosperity Vision.Earlier today, Anwar said he had met with his deputy at a cafe in the Parliament building for a lunch appointment.“Party issues are under control. The party is good,” Anwar maintained when met outside the parliament building.“Is there a conflict? That is only the view of the media,” he said.

When asked if Anwar had persuaded him to attend PKR meetings he said:”Why must I be persuaded? That is my responsibility. There are party meetings that I do attend. There is no problem.“Even if I have official visits to different states, besides government programmes, I also meet state party divisions.”
