PETALING JAYA: More than 758,000 accounts, or an estimated three million users, will be affected by a water supply disruption in seven districts in Selangor, as well as certain areas in Kuala Lumpur and Shah Alam from July 23 to 26.
Air Selangor head of distribution Kelvin Siew said each of these upgrades require a total shutdown of the plant."It includes repairing the leakage at washout 5A, replacement of BSM EM flow meter outlets, sluice valve and butterfly valve. Water supply restoration period will vary – some within 12 hour, and others between 24, 36 and 48 hours – depending on the location of the affected areas.
Users are urged to store water for the scheduled water cut as water tanks and local service centres will only be activated starting July 25 at 8am.
