NSTnation Watch: Robbery suspect rams five vehicles in chase through downtown KL

In the 4.50pm incident, the 25-year-old suspect was seen by several witnesses manhandling the disabled man and carrying out a snatch theft. He then jumped into his car in a bid to escape, Bernama reported.A hot pursuit followed, with the suspect tearing through several roads, including Jalan Pudu, and sideswiping or ramming into five cars stuck in traffic along the route.

However, the suspect was finally caught in a traffic jam at Jalan Brunei Utara and was forcibly removed from the car by his pursuers at 5.20pm.Several video clips of the chase were uploaded to social media and have since gone viral. “The suspect was taken to the Dang Wangi district police headquarters for an investigation,” Kuala Lumpur Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Zulkefly Yahya said in a statement today.
