KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah vice-president Datuk Junz Wong is living up to his promise to help get Veveonah Mosibin’s family a free bird’s nest house by sending a state Veterinary Services Department officer to visit them.

Wong, in a Facebook post on Tuesday , said the officer named Jobit and a local community leader, Maklin Masiau, went to Kampung Sapatalang, Pitas, over the weekend to conduct tests on the suitability of the area to build the bird’s nest house.“When Jobit amplified the sound of swiftlets , many swiftlets were attracted to the area," said Wong.

Veveonah and her family are among those who qualify for the government's free bird’s nest house programme, added the caretaker state Agriculture and Food Industry Minister. “This spirit and resilience, I think, should be emulated by Sabahans so that we may all progress and uplift our living standards together as Sabahans.
