A PRISON warden was sentenced to death by the Shah Alam High Court after finding him guilty of distributing canabis and methamphetamine weighing 410.07g in the Sungai Buloh prison complex four years ago.
Elmy was charged with distributing drugs in the prison at 11am on June 18, 2019, under section 39B Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and can be punished under section 39B of the same act, which provides for the death sentence. For the four offences, the court sentenced the accused to two years’ jail and three strokes of the cane for possessing heroin and a one-year prison term each for having in hand monoacetylmorphines and etilzolam, plus another six months for clozapine.
