Vote of no-confidence is democratic, Patriot tells PAS

Veterans group Patriot says calling for a vote of no-confidence in Dewan Rakyat is part of the democratic process in proving Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has the majority support. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 7, 2020.

CALLING for a no-confidence vote does not imply distrust towards the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, said veterans group Patriot to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang. Its chairman Brig Gen Mohamed Arshad Raji said a trust vote upholds democratic principles and even strengthens the institutions of government.
