The Vivo Pad is an 11-inch WXQGA tablet powered by a Snapdragon 870. It has its own tablet-centric UI with an optional a stylus and keyboard for it too.

Vivo Pad pricing and availability

The Vivo Pad is so far only limited to China, and there’s no information from them just yet on whether they plan to bring it to our shores. Here’s how much they’ll cost in China:Notably, by starting at CNY2,499, it is priced rather competitively with the Oppo Pad, which starts at CNY2,299 but for a configuration with just 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. On top of that, the Oppo Pad with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at CNY2,999, the same as the Vivo Pad.

Under the hood, you’re getting the relatively powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 system-on-chip, mated to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. While you will be getting Android 12 out of the box, it will come with their own tablet-optimised skin dubbed the OriginOS HD. Some pretty cool features that this new UI has includes split-screen multitasking as well as being able to link up with your smartphone using NFC.

As for cameras, it actually packs a solid dual rear camera setup, with a main 13MP camera flanked by another 8MP ultrawide shooter located in a circular camera bump. On the front of the Vivo Pad meanwhile is a 8MP selfie camera that also has a 3D time-of-flight sensor next to it.

Other features of note include a large 8,040mAh battery with 44W fast charging as well. Vivo says you should be able to get up to 11 hours of video playback with a full charge of the battery. There’s also NFC, Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6 support for connectivity. However, there’s no mention of 5G support, likely indicating this is a WiFi-only tablet for now. You’ll also find a quad-speaker setup on the Vivo Pad, though again no 3.5mm audio jack here.
