Ini bukanlah hal baru yang dilakukan syarikat itu, kerana Civic Hybrid yang pertama sekali sudah diperkenalkan di Malaysia sejak tahun 2007 dahulu.
Dan kini, corak yang sama diteruskan oleh Civic RS e:HEV 2022, yang dijual pada harga RM166,500. Jika dibandingkan dengan Civic RS petrol sebelum ini , beza harga yang terlibat adalah sekitar RM16k. Jadi apa kelebihan dan pertambahan ciri yang ada pada model hibrid ini? Dan adakan ia berbaloi dengan pertambahan harga tersebut.
Sebuah motor bersaiz kecil dipadankan terus pada aci engkol berfungsi untuk menghidupkan enjin, manakala motor utama yang memacu roda hadapan pula dibekalkan kuasa 184 PS dan tork maksima 315 Nm. Ada masa-masa tertentu motor elektrik berkenaan turut bergabung tenaga dengan enjin petrol, dan sebab itulah ia masih diberikan transmisi E-CVT.
