: Hanya 65 peratus majikan di negeri ini melakukan proses verifikasi bagi pekerja asing mereka menerusi Program Rekalibrasi Tenaga Kerja 2.0 setakat ini, kata Pengarah Jabatan Imigresen Negeri Sembilan Kennith Tan Ai KiangJusteru, beliau menyeru kepada majikan yang belum melakukannya untuk segera berbuat demikian dan lebih proaktif terhadap perkara itu kerana program berkenaan akan tamat pada 31 Mac ini.

Sebelum ini Menteri Dalam Negeri Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail dilaporkan berkata proses verifikasi itu dilaksanakan setelah proses pendaftaran Program RTK 2.0 tamat pada 31 Dis lepas, dengan dianggarkan hampir 1.1 juta pekerja asing didaftarkan. Beliau berkata kesemua mereka adalah yang melakukan kesalahan di bawah Seksyen 6 Akta Imigresen 1959/63 iaitu tidak memiliki sebarang pas yang sah untuk berada di negara ini dan Seksyen 15 kerana tinggal lebih masa.

Sementara itu beliau berkata setakat 29 Feb lepas, sebanyak 3,138 pendatang tanpa izin diperiksa dengan 477 ditahan iaitu peningkatan berbanding tempoh sama pada tahun lepas.
