Utusan perlu dipulihkan - Anwar

Presiden PKR itu berkata, jasa Utusan tidak wajar dinafikan dan akhbar Melayu tertua di Malaysia itu perlu dipulihkan.

"Utusan adalah akhbar yang sangat sinonim dengan sejarah negara. Tidak boleh nafikan jasanya sebagai medium pendidikan. Jadi satu pendekatan menghormati hak para pekerjanya perlu diambil. "Tidak boleh kerana marah Utusan maka suka ia ditutup. Saya tentunya rasa sedih. Ia hanya disalah gunakan oleh UMNO tetapi syarikat itu perlu dipulihkan dan nasib para pekerjanya harus terbela," kata ketika diminta mengulas situasi yang melanda syarikat penerbitan akhbar berbahasa Melayu tertua di Malaysia, Utusan Melayu Berhad ketika ini.

Syarikat Utusan Melayu yang berusia 80 tahun kini berada dalam keadaan kewangan yang ‘tenat’ menyebabkan berlaku tunggakan gaji pekerja dan bekas pekerja yang mengambil Skim Pemisahan Sukarela . - UTUSAN ONLINE
