SANDAKAN: Usno’s election director Nani Sarom says the party is taking part in the state elections in order to return Sabah to its glory days when the party was at the helm of government.
Nani said the older generation were more capable of administering Sabah, which emerged as the richest state in Malaysia at the time. “After being ‘loaned’ to Umno for 26 years, it has been left behind,” he said after launching the party’s machinery here, Usno led the state government from 1967 to 1976.
