WASHINGTON: The US State Department and Secret Service offered US$2 million in reward money Wednesday for help capturing two Ukrainians charged with hacking and selling valuable insider corporate information from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The two were charged in a January 2019 indictment in New Jersey with breaking into SEC computers to steal thousands of corporate files, including unreleased quarterly and annual earnings reports. The two were charged in a 16-count indictment with securities fraud conspiracy, wire fraud conspiracy, computer fraud conspiracy, wire fraud, and computer fraud.
