THE US acting defence secretary has presented an updated plan that envisages sending up to 120,000 troops to the Middle East if Iran accelerates work on nuclear weapons or attacks American forces in the region. Russia’s Sputnik news agency, quoting The New York Times, said Patrick Shanahan presented the plan during a meeting with US President Donald Trump’s top security aides on Thursday.
