Barisan only won 29 seats that left the Sabah assembly hung, he said, adding that it was clear that the people had rejected Sabah Barisan and wanted a change in the administration. "The Upko supreme council met and decided to go with the people's mandate for change. We decided to work with Warisan and its partners. With our assemblymen, we formed a coalition government in Sabah," he added.
