The party issued a media release on Sunday , right after Parti Warisan Sabah made a statement saying they were not involved in sponsoring any independent candidates.
Upko information chief Albert Bingkasan said the party would not hesitate to take legal action against quarters trying to misuse the name of Upko. "Upko has taken note of several e-posters of rival opposition candidates being circulated, depicting as if the election materials were made in Upko headquarters office."We will take legal action on those using the party's name without permission," he added.
