KualaBerang Tertarik dengan upah ditawar antara RM1,000 hingga RM8,000 menyebabkan dua lelaki gelap mata dan sanggup mengambil risiko dengan menjadi penghantar dadah.

Bagaimanapun, sikap tamak pemandu dan kelindan lori itu yang berusia 35 tahun serta 29 tahun akhirnya bawa padah apabila mereka ditahan polis bersama 50,000 pil kuda dianggarkan bernilai RM750,000.

Ketua Polis Terengganu Datuk Roslee Chik berkata, polis yang melakukan rondaan Op Covid-19 sebelum itu ternampak lori suspek yang berhenti di tepi jalan dalam keadaan mencurigakan sebelum menghampiri mereka. "Anggota kemudian membuat pemeriksaan lanjut dan menemui dadah yang disimpan dalam penapis udara. Mereka mengaku mengambil upah membawa dadah itu dengan bayaran antara RM1,000 hingga RM8,000 untuk setiap perjalanan.

Roslee berkata, siasatan juga mendapati bekalan barang larangan itu diperoleh pembekal dari negara jiran untuk edaran Terengganu dan Pahang.
