Umno Youth lodges police report, says Parliament Speaker must clarify PM's majority support

The letter, purportedly written by Azhar to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, has been circulating on social media since Wednesday night and states that Muhyiddin only had the support of 100 MPs.Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki did not reveal where the police report was lodged, but said the issue was based on Article 43 of the Federal Constitution that deals with a prime minister's legitimacy.

Asyraf also said that should Muhyiddin resign, then the King can appoint a new prime minister under Article 40 of the Federal Constitution."Once we reach herd immunity, like it or not, we have to return the mandate back to the people," he said. "Otherwise, there will not be political stability and no investors want to invest in a country where the government is shaky," he added.
