Perkara 40 Perlembagaan menyatakan Yang di-Pertuan Agong hendaklah bertindak mengikut nasihat Jemaah Menteri atau nasihat seseorang Menteri yang bertindak di bawah kuasa am Jemaah Menteri. “Namun, DAP akan menjunjung dan menghormati sepenuhnya keputusan Seri Paduka dalam soal membubarkan Parlimen selaras dengan prinsip dan peruntukan dalam Perlembagaan.
Setiausaha Agungnya, Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan berkata, Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob akan mempersembahkan cadangan tarikh pembubaran kepada Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
