UMNO Terengganu asalnya mahu memfailkan petisyen bagi semua lapan kawasan pilihan raya Parlimen di negeri itu yang dimenangi oleh Perikatan Nasional pada pilihan raya umum lepas, kata pengerusi badan perhubungan negeri Ahmad Said. Bagaimanapun hanya tiga petisyen yang dikemukakan di Mahkamah Tinggi – Kuala Terengganu, Kemaman, dan Marang – berdasarkan bukti jelas daripada saksi yang mendakwa menerima wang daripada PAS untuk memancing undi, katanya.
