The Umno election committee chairman said this was because several divisions had yet to submit their results.
Dr Akmal Saleh won the Youth chief post with 119 votes, while his contender Mohd Shahar Abdullah had 50 votes. Shahrir also confirmed that the committee had received complaints from the Kuala Kedah division over its Wanita wing results. Earlier on Sunday, it was reported that the division's election was put on hold after it was found that the total votes received did not tally with the number of representatives present.
