PETALING JAYA: Umno MPs must express their withdrawal of support for Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in writing, says Datuk Mohd Puad ZarkashiThe Umno supreme council member said all lawmakers from his party must write a letter to the Dewan Rakyat Speaker, or else be branded as “treasonous” against the King.
“The Umno president has ordered party MPs to express their stance, which is to withdraw support for the Prime Minister. “If they fail to do so, the Umno MPs will be labelled as those who are treasonous against the Yang-di Pertuan Agong. This will damage Umno’s image as a party that defends the institution of the monarchy.
On Thursday , a statement by the Istana Negara said the King had expressed great disappointment with the government's decision to revoke six Emergency Ordinances without his consent.
Seems UMNO is a highly divided party.. with leadership embroiled in high profile corruption cases, fragmented vision & mission of MPs who now need to be ‘urged’ to withdraw support for government of the day..
