Ia mencemarkan bukan saja nama baik UM sebagai sebuah institusi pengajian tinggi, malah graduan dan seluruh warga universiti,” katanya. “Sebagai sebuah universiti diiktiraf antara terbaik di dunia, UM sentiasa mendukung prinsip kebebasan bersuara. Bagaimanapun, dalam menggalas amanah untuk mendidik generasi masa depan, kami juga percaya apa jua tindakan berlandaskan prinsip perlu dilakukan pada tempat dan cara yang betul.
