At the Apple event earlier, the company unveiled its latest tablets to the market. There are new models for two major iPad series this time - the iPad Pro and iPad Air. We've already covered the new iPad Air earlier, but what's new with the latest iPad Pro? Let's find out.
Besides improved dimensions and weight, a major improvement for the new iPad Pro is the display. It now comes with a 'Tandem' OLED screen, which promises SDR and HDR brightness of 1000 nits. Also, its HDR peak brightness can go up to 1600 nits, which should help it retain visual clarity even under the bright sun. The new screen also has Nano-texture glass, supports DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, delivers deeper true blacks, and more.
Moving on, Apple also talked about the new iPad Pro's cameras. The first is a 12MP rear f/1.8 aperture camera, which supports Smart HDR 4 and 4K ProRes video. It also has a LiDAR scanner for apps that rely on augmented reality and a new Adaptive True Tone flash. For the front camera, Apple has moved it to the right of the iPad Pro, allowing it to be perfectly aligned in landscape orientation. In addition, the iPad Pro packs four studio-quality mics for recording audio.
As for the Apple Pencil Pro, you can now hold and squeeze for quick access to certain tools. It also has haptic feedback, a gyroscope for precise controls for tools like brushes, and now supports FindMy.
