Ukraine says Macron remarks on Russia ‘can only humiliate France’

KYIV, June 4 ― Ukraine rebuked French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday for saying it was important not to “humiliate” Russia, a position Ukrainian foreign minister Dmitro Kuleba said “can only humiliate France”.

Kuleba responded on twitter: “Calls to avoid humiliation of Russia can only humiliate France and every other country that would call for it. “I think, and I told him , that he is making a historic and fundamental mistake for his people, for himself and for history,” Macron said.
