IPOH: Ketua Pemuda Sosialis DAP Kebangsaan, Howard Lee Chuan How hari ini membuat laporan polis berhubung ugutan bunuh yang diterima penasihat parti, Lim Kit Siang menerusi hantaran yang dimuat naik oleh seorang pengguna Facebook.
Lee, yang juga pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pembangunan Belia dan Sukan negeri berkata hantaran yang dimuat naik petang semalam oleh pengguna bernama Hata Wahari berbunyi ‘Lim Kit Siang ini sudah wajib dibunuh’. “Saya sentiasa terbuka dan meraikan perbezaan pandangan dalam berpolitik. Namun begitu, saya yakin bahawa ugutan bunuh tidak diterima sebagai sebahagian daripada hak asasi yang diiktiraf di negara ini.
“Tindakan membuat ugutan bunuh seperti ini adalah perbuatan jenayah yang serius. Ancaman bunuh terhadap tokoh masyarakat yang telah lama berkhidmat menyumbang bakti kepada negara ini amat membimbangkan dan tidak boleh dibiarkan tanpa tindakan,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas membuat laporan polis berkenaan di Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Ipoh di sini.
Mengulas lanjut, Lee berkata beliau yakin dan percaya Lim tidak akan sama sekali tunduk terhadap ugutan seperti itu dan akan terus menjalankan tugas serta tanggungjawab sebagai ahli Parlimen Iskandar Puteri dengan baik.
