Ubisoft is skipping E3 2023 as the show continues to fall apart:

Debuting in Atlanta in 1995, E3 quickly established itself as the most important video game trade show in the world, attracting hundreds of game developers and publishers from around the globe to come to Los Angeles for a weekend to show off upcoming games and gaming-related hardware.

However, in the years leading up to the covid-19 pandemic, the show’s importance had started to decline, with. In 2020 E3 was canceled, and since then the show has struggled to survive and remain relevant. And now, as Ubisoft confirms it won’t be part of the event this year, it doesn’t look good for the ol’ Electronic Expo.

That's because it's the vestigial tail of gaming.

Once the big 3 started doing their own events, E3 has become less and less relevant.

patrickklepek If anything this improves the show

gone are the days when E3 was the biggest thing in gaming.

There doing there own showcase by the sounds of it

More pullouts like this - kinda wonder if there will even be an E3 2024

Ubisoft couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery judging by their release schedule - what chance they got of arranging showing up for E3?

What companies are even confirmed at this point, is it just Konami? Rumors and rumblings seem like they have some good stuff to show, but will their platform crumble to present?

Damn
