KOTA KINABALU: Two assemblymen who backed Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor in the recent political crisis have been rewarded with roles in Sabah government-linked companies .
The Sindumin assemblyman replaces Sabah Barisan’s Usukan assemblyman Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak who was removed from the post prior to Barisan’s move to withdraw support for Hajiji and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah . Yusof and Poon received their letters of appointment from Hajiji at the latter’s office in Menara Kinabalu here yesterday.
In congratulating Yusof and Poon, Hajiji said he hoped that they would be able to contribute to the growth of the state-owned companies.“This is a huge responsibility. I wish to thank the Chief Minister for his trust and confidence in me,” he said in a statement.
