Sabah Customs assistant director-general Mohd Nasir Deraman said the incident took place at Jalan Silabukan on Jan 5.
Following checks, he said, they found drugs believed to be methamphetamine, weighing over 3kg, worth some RM111,000 in the car. In another case, Mohd Nasir said the state Customs Department also seized 3.08kg of the same suspected drugs at a courier service terminal in the Tawau district on Jan 12. "The modus operandi involved filling out fake information in the consignment notes for the items they’re sending such as inexistent addresses or using inactive company names," he said.
