MUAR: Two people were killed while nine others, including children, were injured in an accident involving two cars at KM144.8 of the North-South Expressway (north-bound) near Pagoh here.

Pagoh Fire and Rescue Department chief Mohd Fadli Ismail said they received an emergency call at about 11pm on Saturday .

“One Light Fire Rapid Tender vehicle and eight firemen from the Pagoh fire station were deployed to the scene."Three of the victims were thrown out between 20m and 50m away from the vehicles while one victim was stuck under one of the cars,” he said in a statement on Sunday . He said two of the victims died at the scene while nine others were injured and sent to hospital for treatment.

“The bodies of the two victims have been handed over to the police for further action,” he said, adding that the victims where in their 20s and 40s.
