Sibu Deputy OCPD Supt Collin Babat said a team from its Anti-Vice, Gambling and Gangsterism unit nabbed the suspects, aged between 32 and 34, during the 4.30pm incident.Supt Collin said the suspects were two construction workers and a jobless man.
He added that police also seized a live rooster, a dead rooster, RM60, a cockfighting spur and a notice board. Supt Collin said the suspects have been placed in the Sibujaya police lockup for investigation under Section 3 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals 1962 and Section 7 of the Common Gambling House Act 1953.
