Hospital Taiping’s Forensic Specialist, Dr Murali Narayanasamy said the slash and stab wounds on the victim were consistent with sharp caused injury because of the impact, such as a knife.Dr Murali, who served at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah from December 2017 to June 2021, also said the edge of the knife would have to be sharp.
l Two slash wounds over the base of the right index finger, palmar aspect measuring 4 x 0.3cm and 1.2x0.2cm respectively. There are multiple areas of skin slippage and degloving changes seen surrounding these injuries. The marks surrounding the slash wounds are consistent with that of post-mortem predation marks. Dr Murali also read the internal examination of which, the skull cap was opened and no tears of the dura mater and no fractures were noted.
