e is stuck in traffic. Now, the Ministry of Transport has responded to the price adjustments and announced that it would be looking into the matter.

According to Malay Mail, Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook asserted that he has instructed the Land Public Transport Agency to speak with Grab Malaysia regarding the new fare structure. He further revealed that MOT has yet to receive any information on the fare restructure and that the change was a commercial decision by Grab Malaysia.

Today, Grab Malaysia in a statement iterated that the change in the fare and incentives structure is meant to better compensate driver-partners and improve rides supply. Furthermore, the company clarified that the ride fares remain largely unchanged with some minor increase and decrease across rides throughout the day.

Grab Malaysia stressed that the fares have been revised so that they are based more on the time taken to complete the ride and less on the distance of the ride.
