Transport minister Anthony Loke says he is open to having Bjak as a strategic partner to the road transport department . However, he noted that the platform must go through the proper channels first and officially apply to the department.

“We are not against having strategic partnerships with third parties or the private sector,' Loke told reporters after attending a ceremony for Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Castlefield earlier today. “If they can convince us to become our partner, then we have no objection to them.” “We don’t want some company to simply launch and announce that they can do certain services for government departments without our knowledge,' he added. 'Then, we wouldn’t know their SOP and so on.”To recap, JPJ issued a statement earlier this week, addressing an online promotion by Bjak, which relates to its road tax renewal service.

JPJ added it had received numerous complaints from the public regarding Bjak's road tax renewal service, including mentions of additional charges. It also advised the public to exercise caution and only renew their road tax through its official web portal, on-location and mobile counters, mobile app, as well as authorised partners such as Pos Malaysia, MyEG and Puspakom.
