Perlumbaan ketahanan tahunan Sepang 1000KM bakal berlangsung hujung minggu ini – UMW Toyota Motor menerusi pasukan Toyota Gazoo Racing Malaysia sekali lagi bakal bertarung tahun ini bagi mengatasi keputusan yang dicatatkan tahun lalu.
Tahun ini Tengku Djan sekali lagi bakal bergandingan dengan pelumba muda yang juga juara perlumbaan Vios Challenge musim ke-5, Naquib Azlan. Selain dari jentera utama kelas MTC ini, 15 unit Vios dalam kelas SP2 turut akan bertanding dalam Gazoo Racing Vios Enduro Cup yang berlangsung sekali pada S1K kali ini.
Selain pasangan Tengku Djan dan Naquib Azlan yang bertanding dalam kelas MTC tahun lalu, Toyota turut menampilkanyang dipandu pasangan pemandu muda Hayden Haikal and Timothy Yeo. Ravindran menambah bahawa Gazoo Racing Vios Enduro Cup akan menjadi medan pertarungan akhir yang sesuai untuk apa yang telah disifatkan sebagai “musim perlumbaan yang sangat berjaya dan tidak dapat dilupakan untuk Toyota”. Musim kelima perlumbaanVios Challenge dan juga Gazoo Racing Vios Sprint Cup yang berlangsung bersama Malaysia Championship Series telah pun tamat baru-baru ini.
