Tourism groups want players to target locals to cover Covid-19 shortfall

Tourism groups want industry players to target local travellers to cover the shortfall created by the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak in China and mitigate its impact on the industry. – The Malaysian Insight pic, February 16, 2020.

TOURISM service providers such as airlines, hotels, restaurants and theme parks, should have promotional offers to entice domestic tourists to support Visit Malaysia 2020 , said Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents president Tan Kok Liang. He said the move will attract more local tourists and reduce the impact of losses from booking cancellations due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
