PETALING JAYA: Tourists can look forward to staying at hotels with a peace of mind, following the inaugural introduction of the industry-wide hygiene and safety label in Malaysia.

The certification, known as Clean & Safe Malaysia, is designed specifically for hotels and resorts in compliance with both local regulatory requirements and international standards.

“There is a need to reassure tourists that Malaysia is ready, and the Clean & Safe Malaysia label is the mark to look out for, with a clear message to the world that Malaysia welcomes you, make us your next destination of choice, ” he said in a statement Tuesday . Explaining further, Yap said MAH has appointed Bureau Veritas Malaysia , whose core business is conformity assessment, as the independent auditor to deliver a consistent and uniformed solution to every participating hotel across Malaysia.
