Toll-related surcharges a burden on the rakyat, says Dr Wee

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said the government should intervene to get both surcharges abolished as they are a burden to the people."Why doesn’t the government intervene and recommend that the 50sen surcharge not be imposed?" the Ayer Hitam MP asked in a supplementary question at the Dewan Rakyat Wednesday .

In a Facebook posting later Wednesday, Dr Wee chided Chong for taking the easy way out by blaming the previous administration when replying to issues raised in Parliament."But are they aware that #MansuhkanTouchnGo is being hotly discussed by the rakyat on social media?" he asked. Chong also said the 10% parking surcharges would be done away with gradually for Touch n' Go card users.
