PETALING JAYA: Pemimpin Perikatan Nasional menolak cadangan gabungan itu bekerjasama dengan Pakatan Harapan bagi membentuk kerajaan perpaduan di Putrajaya, menggantikan Umno.
Ketiadaan gabungan mempunyai majoriti mudah membentuk pemerintahan menyebabkan Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah mencadangkan penubuhan kerajaan perpaduan di antara PN-PH, namun ditolak komponen diketuai Muhyiddin Yassin. Rabu lalu, Mukhriz mencadangkan PN menjadi sebahagian kerajaan perpaduan, menggantikan Umno yang didakwa menjadi duri dalam daging kepada pelbagai masalah dalam negara.
Menyifatkan Mukhriz tidak lagi relevan, Rafiq yang juga Adun Kuang berkata PN sebenarnya masih berharap bekerjasama dengan Umno tetapi hasrat itu terbantut disebabkan presidennya Zahid Hamidi yang terpalit tuduhan rasuah.
